Marta Vedruccio
Marta Vedruccio was born in Lecce, Italy on June 28th 1983 and lives in Melendugno, Lecce. She graduated with full marks in History of Philosophy at Università del Salento and then studied dance and theatre. She earned her post graduation diploma of professional specialization in “Innovation Theatre“ at Cantieri Teatrali Koreja in Lecce. From 2012 to 2015, she collaborated with the TerramMare troupe, at Teatro Comunale di Nardò, meeting with great Commedia dell’Arte masters Ferruccio Merisi and Claudia Contin (Scuola Sperimentale dell’Attore, Pn) who both become constant reference points for her research.
In 2015 she founded the cultural association Opera Viva, winning the regional fund Mettici Le Mani for the revitalization of the Koinè Urban Laboratories in Melendugno. Here, she directed Il Piccolo Teatro D’Incanto, a resident childhood theatre laboratory. In 2017 she gets casted as actress in the childhood and youth theatre company I Teatrini in Naples.
