Enrico Squarcina graduated at the University of Milan. He has taught in secondary schools and has collaborated with several universities taking part in research groups and working as adjunct professor. His main areas of research are political geography, critical cartography and cultural geography. Since 2005 he works as a researcher at the Bicocca University of Milan. His love for the sea led him to make and participate in two transatlantic regattas and many of the most important offshore regattas in the Mediterranean.
