Collecting contemporary art is not something very common in our community,’ says Nova Contemporary’s young founder Sutima Sucharitakul. So in 2016, she set out to do something about it and turned a former school in central Bangkok into an experimental art gallery. Fast-forward four years, and Nova Contemporary is firmly established as one of the leading lights in the Thai capital’s burgeoning art scene.
