Founded in 1996 as the first artist-run space in Hong Kong, Para Site quickly became a cornerstone of the contemporary art scene. Today, as art spaces reopen throughout the city, it is once again leading the charge with the exhibition ‘Garden of six seasons’, which opened on May 16, 2020 – two months later than originally scheduled.

In this new episode of ‘Meet the Institutions,’ Executive Director/Curator Cosmin Costinas and Deputy Director Claire Shea discuss Para Site’s history, its mission to support emerging artists and curators, and how the city it calls home is an integral part of the institution’s DNA.
