Watch highlights of Art Basel’s Online Viewing Rooms

The second edition of Art Basel’s Online Viewing Rooms has just flung open its digital doors. The virtual aisles are brimming with over 4,000 exceptional pieces that wouldn’t be out of place in the Messe’s grand halls. They showcase the broad range of work that has come to define Art Basel’s shows. Gallerists have brought rare historical pieces by artists, including Josef Albers, Donald Judd, Lygia Pape, and Zao Wou-Ki. Art Basel has a history of hosting the most significant artists working today. In this new edition, you’ll find pieces by the likes of Theaster Gates, Glenn Ligon, and Nicole Eisenman. But the fair also prides itself on being a stage for exciting new voices: new works by Issy Wood, Jonathan Lyndon Chase, and Chen Tianzhuo are awaiting to be discovered. Gallerists have scheduled dozens of online events to accompany the show: from artist talks to performances. In this video, Art Basel’s Global Director Marc Spiegler introduces these and many other highlights. Don’t forget to sign in for a full experience and enjoy your visit!
