An island associated with sensory overload, Bali’s neverending stretches of sand, biodiverse waters, and sprawling rainforests have made it a haven for visitors. But at the heart of its tourism trade, the disturbing build up of waste along its shores has reached crisis point. Drawing attention to the global pollution crisis through artistic means, in December 2022, NYC artist Futura unveiled a large-scale installation at Bali creative village Desa Potato Head, constructed entirely from waste materials sourced across the island
